Healthcare Operational Continuance Assessment
- Evaluate and inventory systems, software, and network (MEDITECH & non-MEDITECH considerations)
- Prioritize applications to be recovered and define data retention requirements for each -- Recovery Point Objective (RPO)
- Define application-specific time-to-recovery requirements -- Recovery Time Objective (RTO)
- Determine organization's current ability to achieve RPO and RTO
- Perform gap analysis
- Identify risks, high-level recovery plan options and benefits, and budgetary considerations
- Present and document findings and next step recommendations
Healthcare Operational Continuance Plan Specification, Design, Development
- Provide project preparation and management assistance
- Conduct executive interviews and identify strategic and tactical objectives (additive to or inclusive of HOC Assessment)
- Review existing disaster recovery plan
- Identify MEDITECH and third-party hardware and functional requirements
- Assess network requirements (availability, reliability, scalability, security, manageability, risk)
- Provide recommendations for systems, storage, network, and back-up technologies to achieve organizational objectives
- Create solution specification, including hardware, software, environmental, electrical, and connectivity (LAN, WAN, or SAN) requirements
- Develop implementation plan outlining main data and business continuance centers, MEDITECH and enterprise data availability solution, and connectivity requirements
- Prepare and deliver revised MEDITECH recovery procedures
- Define and execute MEDITECH recovery test and ongoing support plans (post-implementation)
